Ref: HK1491Kit Configuration Full Kit
Originally conceived by Jack Radford to fit the Myford Series 7 lathes, the attachment uses the mandrel's "bull wheel" for indexing. Our version was later designed by George Thomas as an addition to the popular Versatile Dividing Head (VDH). The complete attachment is quickly fixed to the lathe and has proven to be of great value to horologists for wheel cutting and more generally, for graduating and indexing work.
We offer kits to suit either the standard or "Big-Bore" Super 7 & ML7R lathes (60T bull wheel) or the ML7 (65T).
The "VDH Upgrade Kits" are intended for those who have already built the micro-attachment and division plate assembly for their VDH. These Upgrade Kits also form a perfect starting point for electronic systems such as Tony Jeffree's "Division Master".
The kits include 3 iron castings, the specially cut worm and all necessary materials to complete the project together with drawings from our 3D CAD system. You will also need a copy of GHT's book "Workshop Techniques", which contains illustrated build notes and valuable tips on the use of this unique tool.
