Traveling Steady - Myford 7

The Traveling Steady is used to support long, slender work, close to the tool tip.  The steady is fitted to the lathe's saddle, ahead of the cross slide.  A typical application would be for the production of Acme or Square threaded lead screws.   

Our steady includes adjusting screws for the fingers, making for ease of adjustment. The aluminium casting provides a capacity of Ø2 1/4" and the kit includes all necessary material together with a single drawing.
