Designed by Mr. G.H. Thomas, these Bending Rolls use the "Pinch Roller" principle where the metal to be rolled is securely gripped between a pair of rollers of Ø1 1/8" and positively driven forward against an adjustable deflecting roller. In comparison to conventional Pyramid designs, complete cylinders can be rolled without further manipulation.
The Workshop Bending Rolls will roll steel strip (cold rolled, close annealed) up to around 16 SWG (1/16") and non ferrous sheet of up to around 14 SWG (0.080"). Grooves cut in the pinch rollers permit the rolling of angle and T sections and the deflecting roller can be set to allow cones to be produced. Maximum material width for the standard kit is 10".
Our kit includes 3D drawings, construction notes, bronze & brass bearing material, all necessary steel, fasteners and the 4 finished driving gears.
